Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle are losing Hollywood friends, becoming more isolated

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, once among the most celebrated couples globally, are reportedly experiencing a decline in their social circle in Hollywood as they attempt to redefine their roles as entertainment and global leaders.

Paul Burrell, the former butler of Princess Diana, shared insights with The Sun, suggesting that many of the couple’s close friends are distancing themselves. “Harry and Meghan’s circle is getting smaller and smaller. I think the A-list stars are dropping like flies. Some already have done – Oprah no longer seems involved with them and some other celebrities have also dropped them,” Burrell said.

After stepping down as senior members of the British Royal Family in 2020, Harry and Meghan relocated to Montecito, California. Although they were once adored, recent developments indicate a shift in public perception. A YouGov survey revealed that 68% of people in the UK now hold negative views of the couple.

“Harry and Meghan were the most popular couple in the country at one time, when they got married, but there’s since been a decline,” Burrell added, reflecting on the couple’s fading popularity.

This year, for the second consecutive time, the Sussexes were notably absent from Trooping the Colour, a significant event in the UK. Royal Family commentator Esther Krakue explained that their exclusion was not surprising given the current family dynamics. “To have the Sussexes anywhere near the Royal Family at this precarious time when three members of the Royal Family have significant health issues would not be a very wise thing to do,” Krakue told Sky News.
